Terms of service
Last updated: 2 October 2026
These terms explain how booking WedgeView Studios works and how you may use our website. In short: a booking is only fixed once we confirm it in writing, there is no deposit, you pay within 14 days after your session, and you can cancel free of charge up to 14 days before your session starts.
About these terms
These terms apply to the use of our website www.wedgeviewstudios.com and to every booking with WedgeView Studios. That includes sessions in Studio 1 and Studio 2, studio engineers, instruments and other extras, the rooms upstairs, the guest area and the shuttle.
WedgeView Studios is a trade name of Roestey B.V., a Dutch private limited company (besloten vennootschap). Roestey B.V. is the party you make your booking with. In these terms, "we", "us" and "our" mean Roestey B.V., trading as WedgeView Studios. "You" means the person or organisation that sends us a request or makes a booking.

Consumers and business clients
Some rules differ for consumers and business clients. You book as a consumer if you book as a private person, for example for your own band or as a hobby, and not for your trade, business or profession. If you book for a company or a label, or for your professional work as a musician, you book as a business client.
If you book as a consumer, nothing in these terms limits the rights that you cannot give up by agreement. That means your mandatory rights under Dutch law and, if you live in another EU country, under the law of that country.
Reading and saving these terms
You can read, save and print these terms on this page at any time. We also link to them on our booking form and in our booking confirmation. They are written in English. If we offer a translation and it differs from this text, the English text applies, unless the translation is more favourable to you as a consumer.
Using our website
Our website tells you about our studios, the rooms upstairs, the guest area, the shuttle and our prices. We work hard to keep it accurate and up to date, but information can change. Equipment lists, photos and descriptions show the situation at the time they were published. If a particular item or detail matters for your session, ask us to confirm it in your booking.
If our website contains an obvious mistake, such as a clearly wrong price, we are not bound by it.
The texts, photos, videos, logos and design of this website belong to us or to the people who gave us permission to use them. You may view and print our pages and share links to them. You may not copy, republish or use our content for commercial purposes without our written permission.
Please do not misuse the website. For example, do not try to get around its security, do not overload it, and do not send spam or misleading information through our forms.
Our website links to other websites, such as our pages on Instagram, Facebook and LinkedIn, Google Maps and OpenStreetMap. We are not responsible for the content of those websites. Their own terms and privacy policies apply.
We do our best to keep the website available and working, but we cannot promise that it is always available or free of errors. We may change or update the website at any time.
Booking requests and bookings
You can send us a booking request through the booking form or the contact form, by email or by phone.
A request is not a booking yet. It does not bind you or us. We check availability and reply by email. We may decline a request, for example when the studio is not available on the dates you asked for.
When your booking is made
Your booking is made when we confirm it to you in writing, usually by email. From that moment, these terms apply to your booking.
Our confirmation sets out what you have booked, such as:
- the studio, the dates and the session times
- a studio engineer, if you booked one
- instruments and other extras
- nights in the rooms upstairs and the number of people
- shuttle rides
- the price, and any special arrangements we agreed
Please check the confirmation and tell us straight away if anything is wrong or missing. If our confirmation differs from your request, we point this out, and the booking is only made once you have agreed to the change.
Booking for a group
If you book for a band, company or other group, you confirm that you are allowed to do so. The person or organisation named in our confirmation is our client and receives the invoice.
If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must agree to the booking.
Prices
Our current prices are on our Pricing page. Prices are in euros (EUR) and exclude VAT, unless we state otherwise.
The price of your booking is the price in our confirmation. If our prices change after we have confirmed your booking, the confirmed price still applies.
If you book as a consumer, we tell you the total price including VAT before your booking is made.
Extra hours, a studio engineer, instruments or other extras that you ask for during your session are charged at the rates on our Pricing page, unless we agree otherwise.
If tourist tax or another levy applies, for example to the rooms upstairs, we tell you in advance.
Payment
We do not ask for any payment in advance, and there is no deposit.
After your session, we send you an invoice. Payment is due within 14 days after your session has ended. Please pay using the payment details on the invoice.
If you think an invoice is not correct, please let us know as soon as possible so we can look at it together.
Late payment
If we have not received your payment on time, we send you a reminder. We may then charge interest and collection costs, but only as far as Dutch law allows. If you are a consumer, we only charge collection costs after a reminder that gives you 14 days to pay at no extra cost.
Cancelling and rebooking
Plans change. These are the rules if you need to cancel or move a confirmed booking.
Up to 14 days before your session: cancel free of charge
You can cancel your booking free of charge up to 14 days (2 weeks) before the day your session starts. For example, for a session that starts on 20 June, your cancellation must reach us on 6 June at the latest.
Please cancel by email to roeland@wedgeviewstudios.com, so that we both have a record. The time your email reaches us counts.
Less than 14 days before your session: we move your booking
If you tell us less than 14 days before your session starts that you cannot come, you can no longer cancel your booking. Instead, we move it to a later date that we agree together, depending on availability. The new date must fall within 6 months of the original session date. Moving your booking costs nothing extra.
It stays the same booking. Only the date changes, unless we agree other changes with you. You pay for it after the session on the new date, as described under Payment.
If no new date is agreed
If we cannot agree on a new date that falls within those 6 months, the booking lapses at no cost to you.
There is one exception. If you told us less than 48 hours before your session was due to start, and no new date is agreed, we charge 20% of the booking cost. The booking cost is the total price of your booking as set out in our confirmation.
Changing your dates earlier
Would you like to change the dates of a confirmed booking more than 14 days before your session? Contact us. A change depends on availability and applies once we confirm it in writing.
No 14-day right of withdrawal
If you book as a consumer, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal does not apply, because your booking is for a specific date or period (article 6:230p, under e, of the Dutch Civil Code). Instead, you can cancel free of charge up to 14 days before your session, as described above.
If you book as a consumer, these rules do not limit your mandatory rights under Dutch law.
If we have to cancel
Sometimes we may have to cancel a session, for example because of illness, a technical failure or force majeure. If that happens, we tell you as soon as possible and offer you a new date. If the new date does not suit you, or no new date is possible, the booking ends and there is no charge.
If only part of your session cannot go ahead, we offer you the missing time on a new date. If that is not possible, you do not pay for the part that did not take place.
This does not limit your rights under Dutch law.
Rooms upstairs, guest area and shuttle
Rooms upstairs
The rooms upstairs are only available to studio clients. You can add them to your studio booking. They are charged per night per person, as shown on our Pricing page. Please treat the rooms with care.
Guest area
Everyone who rents a studio can use the guest area free of charge during their booking. It is shared by the clients of both studios, so please treat it with care and keep it pleasant for everyone.
Shuttle
On request, we can pick you up from Breukelen or Woerden station, or take you there. A shuttle ride is only arranged once we confirm it. It is charged per one-way ride, as shown on our Pricing page. The number of seats is limited and depends on how much equipment you bring.
If your train is delayed or your plans change, let us know as soon as possible.
Using the studio and equipment
Our studios, equipment, instruments and buildings are there for you to use during your booking. Please:
- use everything with care and only for its intended purpose
- follow reasonable instructions from us, for example about safety and the use of equipment
- tell us straight away if something breaks, is damaged or does not work properly
- leave the studio, the guest area and the rooms upstairs tidy at the end of your booking
You are responsible for everyone who comes to the studio as part of your booking, such as band members, your own engineer and guests.
If you, or someone who comes with you, cause damage to the studio, the equipment, the rooms or the buildings, you are responsible for that damage, within the limits of the law. You are not responsible for normal wear and tear.
You are responsible for your own instruments, equipment and belongings. We recommend that you insure them.
If you book a studio engineer, they work with care and skill. The artistic result of a session depends on many things, so we cannot promise a particular result.
Recordings and rights
Your music and your recordings belong to you, unless we agree otherwise in writing. We do not claim any rights in them.
You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed for what you record, for example when you record a song written by someone else.
We do not share or publish your recordings without your permission. We also ask your permission before we publish photos or videos from your session in which you can be recognised.
Please take copies of your session files before you leave. If you would like us to keep copies for you, please agree this with us in writing.
Liability
We do our best to make your session go well. If something goes wrong because of us, the rules below apply.
If you book as a consumer
If you book as a consumer, we are liable as set out in Dutch law. The limits for business clients below do not apply to you.
If you book as a business client
If you book as a business client, these limits apply:
- Our total liability for a booking is limited to the total price of that booking.
- We are not liable for indirect loss, such as lost profit or lost income.
- We are only liable for loss of or damage to your own instruments, equipment or belongings if we caused it.
These limits do not apply to death or personal injury, or if the damage was caused by our intent or gross negligence.
Reporting damage
Please report damage or loss to us as soon as possible, so that we can look into it and help limit the damage.
Force majeure
We are not liable if we cannot do what we agreed because of force majeure. Force majeure means circumstances that are not our fault and that we cannot reasonably prevent. Examples are extreme weather, flooding, fire, a long power cut, government measures, and serious illness of the engineer booked for your session if we cannot reasonably arrange a replacement.
If force majeure stops your session from going ahead, the rules under If we have to cancel apply: we offer you a new date, and if the new date does not suit you or no new date is possible, the booking ends and there is no charge.
Privacy
We use your personal data to handle your request and your booking, to send invoices and to keep the records the law requires. Our privacy policy explains what data we collect, why, how long we keep it and what your rights are.
Our cookie policy explains how our website uses cookies. You can change your choice at any time in Cookie settings.
Complaints, law and courts
Complaints
If you are not happy with something, please tell us as soon as possible, ideally during your session so we can put it right straight away. You can also email us at roeland@wedgeviewstudios.com. We reply as soon as we can and look for a solution together with you.
Applicable law
Dutch law applies to these terms, to the use of our website and to every booking. If you book as a consumer and live in another EU country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory rules of the country where you live.
Courts
If we cannot solve a dispute together, it can be brought before a court. If you are a business client, the Rechtbank Midden-Nederland (District Court of Midden-Nederland) has exclusive jurisdiction. If you are a consumer, the court that has jurisdiction under the law decides the dispute, and you keep any right you have to go to court in the country where you live.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. These terms apply from 2 October 2026. Your booking is covered by the version that applied when we confirmed it, unless you agree to a newer version.
